Aggrenox is a prescription drug containing a combination of dipyridamole and acetylsalicylic acid (Marketed under the brand name Aspirin). Acetylsalicylic acid is categorized as a salicylate drug and helps in reducing fever, pain and inflammation within the body. Dipyridamole averts the formation of blood clots by preventing platelets from sticking to one another. Taken as a capsule Aggrenox contains 200mg of dipyridamole and 25mg of acetylsalicylic acid. - Medications for diabetes that are administered through the mouth
- Diuretics or water pills such as Hydrodiuril (hydrochlorothiazide), Lasix (furosemide) and Midamor (amiloride)
- Beta blockers such as Coreg (carvedilol), Tenormin (atenolol), Lopressor (metoprolol), Betapace (sotalol), Blocadren (timolol) and Inderal (propranolol)
- Medication for seizures such as Dilantin (phenytoin), Tegretol (carbamazepine) and phenobarbital
- NSAIDs (non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs) such as ibuprofen, Orudis (ketoprofen), Relafen (nabumetone), Feldene (piroxicam), Naprosyn (naproxen) and Indocin (indomethacin)
