Description of Fermathron
Fermathron is a sodium hyaluronate gel that is used for joint injection. Fermathron can be injected into the synovial joints of patients that are suffering from osteoarthritis or other degenerative and traumatic changes of the joint. Manufactured by a patented continuous fermentation process, Fermathron offers lubrication and shock absorbing properties. Fermathron treatment usually consists of one injection into the synovial joint a week for three to five weeks. It has been demonstrated that 5 injections of Fermathron into the knee joint relieves symptoms for at least 6 months.
